Email for Clinicians

Warranty

When you purchase the Email for Clinicians package you'll receive full directions for using email to communicate with safety. Considerable research went into finding and testing the details of these methods.

These methods are provided as is. While every effort has been made to make sure this method works well and as advertised, Charles M. Stewart, and Blueberry Harbor Software, Inc. are not responsible for your use of the method, or untoward events that take place as a result of your installation and or use of the software and method. Third party programs operating on a wide variety of computers which may or may not be up to date is beyond the control of any one person.

It is unfortunate that we have to put this disclaimer here. We take our software design and implementation seriously but in today's litigious society we must protect ourselves.

Your Email for Clinicians package consists of the following:

  • An informed consent/release and hold harmless clause for your patients to sign.

  • A general introduction to encrypted email including more about why and how it is useful for both practitioners and patients.

  • A document that talks about good passwords.

  • Guidelines for email so that patients won't use it for emergencies. It also spells out the rules for use that are fully HIPAA compliant.

  • Installation directions for the third party software that does the encryption and directions anyone can understand that spell out how to use it.

  • All the documents are printable for clients/patients or they can be emailed as well. They can also be copied so that you can put the documents on your own letterhead.

Email for Clinicians allows you to communicate with safety between any combination of PC's and Mac's. When you order Email for Clinicians you'll receive directions for each combination.

The program for the Windows machine that has to communicate with a Mac is obtained separately, costs $19.95 and is available as a downloadable program. It is easy to use and quite capable.

While the program for Windows encryption is free, I believe a small contribution should be given to the programmer who created it. You decide if you agree with me.

I suggest a method for Mac users that is easy and works well. Mac users can communicate with either Macs or Windows machines. This method is free for late model Macs.
